The following activities, tours & trips is availed to our guests to explore Johannesburg and or surrounding areas. We offer guided tours on the different packages from our very popular SOWETO to RHINO and LION tours or according to the time that you have available.

THE LION PARK:  has over 80 lions including the rare white lions and many other carnivores such as spotted hyena wild dog, cheetah, , brown and and black backed jackal and a wide variety of antelope. There is also the popular cub interaction where visitors are allowed to touch the cubs and take photographs.


RHINO AND LION RESERVE: The reserve was founded in 1985. The reserve has grown from 2 White Rhinos, 'Ouvrous'and 'Bulle', imported from a zoo in Germany, and some antelope species, to 600 head of game representing 25 different species.

THE CRADLE OF HUMANKIND: Site consists of several  strips of dolomite limestone caves containing the fossillised remains of ancient forms of animals, plants and most importantly, hominids. These  dolomite caves started out as coral reefs growing in a worm shallow sea about 2.3 billion years ago.

CONSTITUTIONAL HILL: The story of South Africa’s past and its extraordinary transition to democracy is  told at Constitution Hill. This national heritage site has witnessed a century of South Africa’s history.

THE HECTOR PIETERSEN MEMORIAL AND MUSEUM: opened in Soweto in 2002 in honour of  Hector,  a 12 year old boy, who was shot on the 16 June 1976 during the Soweto uprising and  today it is a symbol of resistance to the brutality of the apartheid government

NELSON MANDELA BRIDGE: is 284 metre long and is the largest cable-stayed bridge in South Africa. It  starts virtually at the end of Jan Smuts Avenue and links the Constitutional Hill precinct in Braamfontein to the Cultural precinct in Newtown.

THE MANDELA FAMILY MUSEUM: was once Nelson Mandela's humble house in Orlando West, Soweto.A must seer for those keen to take in a slice of authentic history on the world's most famous former prisoner.

SOWETO TOURS:
Take a guided tour to learn about the history of Soweto from the people who experienced it, meet the people, dine in the restaurants and visit a Shebeen (local Pub).

GOLD REEF CITY/ APARTHEID MUSEUM: is a theme park with a casino. You can make a day of this as follows: Go to the Apartheids Museum in the morning (except Mondays as the museum is closed). You will need at least 4-5 hours for this museum where after you can go to the theme park for the rest of the day. Go to the following web page for more information: www.goldreefcity.co.za
NOTE: The Apartheids museum is next to Gold Reef City. (Closed on Mondays.)

WALTER SISULU NATIONAL BOTANICAL GARDENS: If you need to escape for a while, then you have to see the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in Roodepoort. It has almost 300 hectares of landscaped and natural veld that is a sanctuary for birds. It has become a popular picnic spot for all south Africans.

THE UNION BUILDINGS: were designed by Sir Herbert Baker and completed in 1913. It is South Africa's architectural masterpiece and considered the greatest achievement by many architects. This was the location for President Nelson Mandela's historic inauguration in 1994.

FREEDOM PARK: opened in December 2007 and South Africans and tourists can reflect on the past.It is an inspiration for the future and considered as one of the most ambitious heritage projects invested in.                                                                                                
BRUMA AFRICAN FLEA MARKET: This is Johannesburg’s largest flea market, with a huge selection of affordable African arts and crafts souvenirs, local products, clothing and accessories, electronics and the usual array of cheap sunglasses, shoes and a variety of take away food stalls and beverages. The market also has a small area where many local groups of dancers and musicians offer free entertainment. At the same corner you will find McDonalds, Nando’s (Popular chicken take away), a Butchery and Fresh Produce market for all your fresh fruit and vegetables.
NB. The Bruma African Flea market is open every day from 09h30 to 17h00 except on MONDAYS.

SHOPPING MALLS: Johannesburg has many shopping malls with many international shops, all major banks and foreign currency exchanges, clothing, supermarket, restaurants, audiovisual shops, stationary, post office and many more.

MELVILLE: Where the parties and night life never stop in the streets and action bars. Located near the Johannesburg University where Melville is the playground of the students and young and trendy people that hang out in the local pubs and clubs. Bonus: If you get hungry at 03h00 in the morning, no stress as you can and enjoy a variety of meals at the 24/7 restaurant; Catz Pyjamas www.catzpyjamas.co.za that never close but don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a table at this very popular restaurant at this time of the morning!

ROSEBANK: Rosebank offers variety of activities from a roof top market on selected days to a variety of shops, entertainment, movies, trendy restaurants, sushi and social hang outs. For more info visit: www.rosebank.co.za

SANDTON: Mandela Square www.mandelasquare.co.za and Sandton City Shopping Mall www.sandtoncity.co.za are across the road from each other or use the sky walk to get across. View the amazing 6 metre high Bronze Mandela Statue on the Mandela Square, take some pictures or a tour and enjoy some tasty South African cuisine or a cold beer at one of the many restaurants situated around the square. The Sandton Convention Centre www.saconvention.co.za is across the road that offers many local and international exposes and trade shows.

NEWTOWN: Newtown is the creative capital of Johannesburg with a world class offering of theatre, dance, music, art, photography and crafts. Newtown’s key attractions include the world famous Market Theatre, Museum Africa, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Bass Line (Jazz Club), Dance factory and the SAB World of Beer (see below). SAB WORLD OF BEER: South African Breweries (SAB) offer daily tours of about 2 hours with complimentary drinks. A small entrance fee is required but worth it. For more info visit: www.sab.co.za

JOHANNESBURG ZOO: Established in 1904 where the business of the Johannesburg Zoo is to accommodate, enrich, husbandry and medical care of the wild animals. The zoo offers daily events and programs to visitors. For more information please visit: www.jhbzoo.org.za

JOHANNESBURG PLANETARIUM: On 12 October 1960 the first full-sized planetarium in Africa, and the second in the Southern Hemisphere opened its doors to the public. They have daily shows and no bookings are required as they can seat 400 people. For more info visit: www.planetarium.co.za

ORIENTAL PLAZA: The Oriental Plaza, situated close to Newtown is an Indian-style bazaar with hundreds of shops selling precious fabrics, dazzling jewellery and a huge selection of designer brands. Also known as Aladdin’s Cave of bargains, clever shoppers get to name their price here.
